The EPCC Architecture Society invites architecture students, aspiring designers, and community members to join us for an evening with local architect Karla Padilla.
Whether you are currently studying architecture, considering the field, or simply interested in design and the built environment, this lecture offers a direct look into professional architectural practice in the El Paso region.
Karla Padilla is an architect, educator and project manager based in El Paso, Texas. She holds a Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University, El Paso, graduating summa cum laude.
Her work spans professional practice and teaching. She has received the AIA El Paso Student Design Award, AIA Dallas Student Design Award, and Project of the Year for her Bi-National Connection project, focused on public space and community-driven design.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear firsthand about:
-Working in professional practice
-Developing a design concept
-Navigating the transition from student to architect
-Building a career in architecture locally
